Aunt Helen's locations honor our family's Great Aunt Helen. She lived to be 108 years old and is the inspiration for the coffee houses. Aunt Helen was a no-nonsense person who told it like it was, appreciated practical people and was a "get to the point" kind of person. She moved to Greeley when she was 99 years old & lived independently, just down the street, at the Greeley Place. She passed in August of 2020 at the age of 108. She was married for a very short 10 years and had no children of her own.
On Aunt Helen’s 103rd Birthday, A Greeley Tribune Reporter asked her, “What is the secret to living a long life?” Helen remarked, “Minding your own damn business; You ought to try it.”
